So this blog has been created to share with you any new and exciting marketing ideas that are being used all around the world. One concept that has come up though and that is talked about in this great article by Tino Buntic, is “Is it ok to steal another companies marketing ideas?”
Tino talks about that there are laws for patents, and copyright laws etc, but there are no laws for using your competitors or other businesses marketing ideas and techniques.
But, Tino goes on to ask “Is it ethical?” “Would do it?” Maybe you don’t feel right doing it, but legally, there is nothing against the law to copy some of their marketing ideas.
Have you used any of someone elses’ marketing ideas before? If so, share some of your ideas.
Absolutely true. It’s no secret that advertising agencies copy one anothers ideas, just replicate them a bit differently. The same tactics can be used, but I don’t think I could use exactly the same type of advert or similar.
